For the Women of Rome 3 has released! Release party Sat. Nov. 8! Win fabulous prizes!

Greetings everyone! I am proud to announce the release of the final installment in the Roman Erotic Tales series, “For the Women of Rome 3”! This is a long time in coming, and I am so excited to finally bring you the end of the tale of Marcus and Cornelia. This has been a few years in the making, with my writer’s block finally overcome. I am so proud of myself for pushing forward and getting this done. It was fun to do the research, add in details that I learned about a woman’s place in Ancient Roman society, and how a released female slave might manage herself in Ancient Roman culture. Cornelia is a strong woman, at home in her place in Roman society, until Marcus shakes her up a bit. I love their story of love, bringing out the change in both of them. I hope you like it too.

Update on “For the Women of Rome III” Progress

Greetings,

I wanted to give a progress report on the last in the series in the Roman Erotic Tales. I have finished the last short novella, “For the Women of Rome III”. It is going through the process of being edited, and the cover is ready to go. So, the wait won’t be much longer. I’m very excited to be finally finishing this series and bringing you the fabulous end to Marcus and Cornelia’s love story. As usual, the fire is high, there are new characters to meet, and lots of steamy intimate scenes with our favorite Celtic warrior and brothel owner, Cornelia.

If by chance, you don’t have the first two in the series, I’ll post links to them so you can be caught up and ready for the third in the series when it is released. I promise, it was worth the wait. Smashwords Read An Ebook Week Promo 2024

Greetings and salutations! It’s me, Lynda. I know, it’s like I’m coming back from the dead, which I’ve actually done. There’s a story of a heart attack, coma and recovery behind that comment, which led to more of a career of writing due to the loss of my career to health reasons. But that is the past. I’m looking towards the future in 2024. Which means, more writing.

So, what have I been up to? Mostly keeping my backyard from flooding, some writing, and learning how to throw some pots at the local art center. I’m settling into a new home and am looking towards a more focused future where I can get back to my writing. Sometimes, you have to get your life sorted out to do that. I’m starting to get to that point.

What projects am I working on? I’m still working on finishing the Roman Tales series. And I’ve got a fantastic sci-fantasy other worlds story I’ve been working on for several years. I want to get back to that and start getting it out. So, my brain is starting to buzz again with activity. I’m hoping that with the end of this super wet winter, I can get some words on to the page and into your hands soon. So, stick with me, I promise, more is coming.

Meanwhile, Smashwords is having their annual “Read An Ebook” week. I love this time of year, where Smashwords, being a pioneer of ebooks, helps Indie authors get the word out about their books. Considering my promotional path of the past got way too expensive, I’m finding that I can put a book on coupon or with a promo with Smashwords, and then put it out to my readers. Some of you may have already picked it up, but if not, here is my Christmas for all seasons story, “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”.

End of 2023 Reflection and Gift For Readers

So, another year, another time to celebrate just being able to have the gift to write. It’s been a bit of a tough year for myself. I’ve had to deal with some personal issues, and put aside writing for a time. Before I knew it, a year has gone by while I’ve been dealing with all sorts of things. I literally broke my ankle in April, got Covid-19 in July, and then worked the Renaissance Faire nearby. Poof. Year gone. But also, I lost a very good friend in June, that gave me the chance to say good-bye to her before she passed. Like I said. Lots of personal issues, and sometimes as a writer, life sweeps you up and takes you away from the writing path. But it doesn’t mean I haven’t forgotten about my fans. My readers. You.

I’ve been adding bit by bit to the final story of the Roman Erotic Tales. Scene by scene, it is filling out to complete the series. I also worked with Marilyn Vix to finish a omnibus edition of our Thankful In Vegas series. If you’d like a spicy gambler romance in Vegas, please consider a purchase. It is a great contemporary read for anyone that likes a bit of action and mysterious secrets. I enjoyed working with Marilyn on it, and I don’t know, maybe we’ll do another collaboration soon.

Meanwhile, I’ve set up a free promo on Smashwords for my Holiday short story that is popular at this time of year. If you want to get into the Holiday spirit, it’s a great hook-up erotic story. I had fun writing it back when I had my mojo going. SO, please, enjoy a gift from me for this Holiday season.

I’m looking forward to getting back into more writing next year. It just turns out 2023 was not a year that I could really produce what I wanted to. Life happens. But with my ankle now mended, and hopefully, more of a safer and less flood filled winter, I’ll be able to get back into the swing of writing again in the next few months. New Year’s Eve Giveaway in Smashwords Store

Greetings everyone. Happy Holidays and best wishes for the upcoming new year. I’m only going to have limited titles in the Smashwords store, and this will be the first. Many of my other titles are already available at Barnes and Noble and Amazon. So, I don’t feel the need to list them all there. But I thought a nice gift would be to start with this title as a gift for my readers.

Here is a run down of the story:

Theresa had decided to stay home for Christmas.

Nick was home for the Holidays too. Why not get together for a little Christmas cheer? Turkey and cranberry sauce always tastes better when two are sharing a meal together. I do like the way that Smashwords can make available multiple formats or just epub, which is best for most ereading formats. If you wish it for mobi, the Zon’s format, it is still available at Amazon for $0.99. Hey, I can’t make it free everywhere. A girl has got to eat. 😉

My giveaways of the past are likely going to fade away since between the pandemic and going wide with my titles, it’s not as cost affective to give away a lot of free titles. But every once in a while, I’ll likely put something up, like this title. It looks like Smashwords will be a great retailer to offer free giveaways through without a cost to myself. So, please follow and check back. Maybe I can see if other erotic and erotica writers would be interested in joining forces again and offering giveaways next year. We’ll have to see how it all pans out. But you know, the world gives you a pandemic and you just have to pivot.

Plus, if you’d like to try out an erotic romance, please try out Marilyn Vix’s title, “Love in One Act”. It’s a bit steam punky and Victorian, all with an erotic theme. New Holiday Erotica & Erotic Rom Giveaway and UPDATE

Greetings and happy holidays! What a difference a year can make. I hope you are well and have faired through this whole COVID pandemic safe and sound. It has been a tough year for any creatives. With writer’s block, lockdowns, and moving, I’ve felt beat down and uprooted over the last few years. But I’m starting to feel like I’m picking myself up again, and moving a bit forward. I’ve been working on new projects, and even set up a Holiday Giveaway for you all.

I have had to rethink my brand, operating costs, and have made some changes. So, I’ve got some announcements. Firstly, I’m going to be running future giveaways through my blog mostly since it costs a lot to maintain my newsletter list since it ran over the free limit. Second: I’ve been working on finishing the “Thankful in Vegas” series with Marilyn Vix. The last installment will soon come out around Valentine’s Day. This will be great since the full story arc will be done through the 3 novellas, and they will be put together into one omnibus that will have a print edition. It is a little different than I’ve written before, romantic suspense with a hot, sizzling factor. It’s also been great writing with Marilyn and supporting each other. So, look for that soon.
