Greetings everyone! I am proud to announce the release of the final installment in the Roman Erotic Tales series, “For the Women of Rome 3”! This is a long time in coming, and I am so excited to finally bring you the end of the tale of Marcus and Cornelia. This has been a few years in the making, with my writer’s block finally overcome. I am so proud of myself for pushing forward and getting this done. It was fun to do the research, add in details that I learned about a woman’s place in Ancient Roman society, and how a released female slave might manage herself in Ancient Roman culture. Cornelia is a strong woman, at home in her place in Roman society, until Marcus shakes her up a bit. I love their story of love, bringing out the change in both of them. I hope you like it too.

Update on “For the Women of Rome III” Progress

Greetings,

I wanted to give a progress report on the last in the series in the Roman Erotic Tales. I have finished the last short novella, “For the Women of Rome III”. It is going through the process of being edited, and the cover is ready to go. So, the wait won’t be much longer. I’m very excited to be finally finishing this series and bringing you the fabulous end to Marcus and Cornelia’s love story. As usual, the fire is high, there are new characters to meet, and lots of steamy intimate scenes with our favorite Celtic warrior and brothel owner, Cornelia.

If by chance, you don’t have the first two in the series, I’ll post links to them so you can be caught up and ready for the third in the series when it is released. I promise, it was worth the wait. Lynda Belle Title Available During “Read An Ebook” Week at Smashwords

Hiya! Lynda here. Just letting you know I’m still here. 2024 was a crazy, overwhelming year for me. I seem to have let it slip by, with a book or two running around in my brain and not getting it down on paper. I am really trying to push myself to finish the “For The Women of Rome” series. I think I might have a way to finish what I’ve been working on. It is started, but how to wrap up the series has eluted me. I think I might have an answer now. Just got to get butt in chair and get it done. To when that will happen, all I can say is soon. Hopefully. But I have been focusing a lot on the collab with Marilyn Vix, that some of my own work has slipped. For that, I apologize. But I am trying to rev myself up again. Any support you lend me in your comments is very appreciated. So thank you.

I’m getting back in the saddle, and working on projects. Just hang in there with me. Hopefully, I’ll have a new release soon. Meanwhile, please enjoy this free deal going on at Smashwords right now. Update: From the downloads of this promo, it’s really been so supporting and motivating. I have to add that I have been feeling more balanced and stable financially. So, I’ve been able to take up the pen again, and get back into some writing projects. I have dived back into finishing “For the Women of Rome III”, the last in the series. I now have it outlined and figured the plot. I am over half way writing it. I did start this a few years back, but it fell by the wayside. It’s nice to be at it again, and seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. I will let you all know when the first draft is done and off to the editor. I am really hoping to have it done in a month or two. When I finish a series, I can put it into an Omnibus edition and even do a print edition of the whole series. So, wish me luck! I am looking at 2025 as a positive road to writing and getting you the end of the Erotic Roman Series. You won’t be disappointed! It’s super hot! I can’t wait to bring it to you soon.

Smashwords Read An Ebook Week Promo 2024

Greetings and salutations! It’s me, Lynda. I know, it’s like I’m coming back from the dead, which I’ve actually done. There’s a story of a heart attack, coma and recovery behind that comment, which led to more of a career of writing due to the loss of my career to health reasons. But that is the past. I’m looking towards the future in 2024. Which means, more writing.

So, what have I been up to? Mostly keeping my backyard from flooding, some writing, and learning how to throw some pots at the local art center. I’m settling into a new home and am looking towards a more focused future where I can get back to my writing. Sometimes, you have to get your life sorted out to do that. I’m starting to get to that point.

What projects am I working on? I’m still working on finishing the Roman Tales series. And I’ve got a fantastic sci-fantasy other worlds story I’ve been working on for several years. I want to get back to that and start getting it out. So, my brain is starting to buzz again with activity. I’m hoping that with the end of this super wet winter, I can get some words on to the page and into your hands soon. So, stick with me, I promise, more is coming.

Meanwhile, Smashwords is having their annual “Read An Ebook” week. I love this time of year, where Smashwords, being a pioneer of ebooks, helps Indie authors get the word out about their books. Considering my promotional path of the past got way too expensive, I’m finding that I can put a book on coupon or with a promo with Smashwords, and then put it out to my readers. Some of you may have already picked it up, but if not, here is my Christmas for all seasons story, “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”.

End of 2023 Reflection and Gift For Readers

So, another year, another time to celebrate just being able to have the gift to write. It’s been a bit of a tough year for myself. I’ve had to deal with some personal issues, and put aside writing for a time. Before I knew it, a year has gone by while I’ve been dealing with all sorts of things. I literally broke my ankle in April, got Covid-19 in July, and then worked the Renaissance Faire nearby. Poof. Year gone. But also, I lost a very good friend in June, that gave me the chance to say good-bye to her before she passed. Like I said. Lots of personal issues, and sometimes as a writer, life sweeps you up and takes you away from the writing path. But it doesn’t mean I haven’t forgotten about my fans. My readers. You.

I’ve been adding bit by bit to the final story of the Roman Erotic Tales. Scene by scene, it is filling out to complete the series. I also worked with Marilyn Vix to finish a omnibus edition of our Thankful In Vegas series. If you’d like a spicy gambler romance in Vegas, please consider a purchase. It is a great contemporary read for anyone that likes a bit of action and mysterious secrets. I enjoyed working with Marilyn on it, and I don’t know, maybe we’ll do another collaboration soon.

Meanwhile, I’ve set up a free promo on Smashwords for my Holiday short story that is popular at this time of year. If you want to get into the Holiday spirit, it’s a great hook-up erotic story. I’m looking forward to getting back into more writing next year. It just turns out 2023 was not a year that I could really produce what I wanted to. Life happens. But with my ankle now mended, and hopefully, more of a safer and less flood filled winter, I’ll be able to get back into the swing of writing again in the next few months. New Year’s Eve Giveaway in Smashwords Store

Greetings everyone. Happy Holidays and best wishes for the upcoming new year. As a New Year’s and Holiday Gift, I’ve made available my Christmas/Holiday erotic romance short, “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” on Smashwords. I’m only going to have limited titles in the Smashwords store, and this will be the first. Many of my other titles are already available at Barnes and Noble and Amazon. So, I don’t feel the need to list them all there. But I thought a nice gift would be to start with this title as a gift for my readers.

Here is a run down of the story:

Theresa had decided to stay home for Christmas.

Who needed the family stress? She was going to be the tough, singleton on her own.

Nick was home for the Holidays too. Why not get together for a little Christmas cheer? Turkey and cranberry sauce always tastes better when two are sharing a meal together. Or when it’s shared on each other. Theresa gets the best gift a girl could want. A man that wants her on Christmas Eve, and she can’t get enough. Nick unwraps her slowly, giving her something Santa never could.

I do like the way that Smashwords can make available multiple formats or just epub, which is best for most ereading formats. If you wish it for mobi, the Zon’s format, it is still available at Amazon for $0.99. Hey, I can’t make it free everywhere. A girl has got to eat. 😉

My giveaways of the past are likely going to fade away since between the pandemic and going wide with my titles, it’s not as cost affective to give away a lot of free titles. But every once in a while, I’ll likely put something up, like this title. It looks like Smashwords will be a great retailer to offer free giveaways through without a cost to myself. So, please follow and check back. Maybe I can see if other erotic and erotica writers would be interested in joining forces again and offering giveaways next year. We’ll have to see how it all pans out. But you know, the world gives you a pandemic and you just have to pivot.

New Holiday Erotica & Erotic Rom Giveaway and UPDATE

Greetings and happy holidays! What a difference a year can make. I hope you are well and have faired through this whole COVID pandemic safe and sound. It has been a tough year for any creatives. With writer’s block, lockdowns, and moving, I’ve felt beat down and uprooted over the last few years. But I’m starting to feel like I’m picking myself up again, and moving a bit forward. I’ve been working on new projects, and even set up a Holiday Giveaway for you all.

I have had to rethink my brand, operating costs, and have made some changes. So, I’ve got some announcements. Firstly, I’m going to be running future giveaways through my blog mostly since it costs a lot to maintain my newsletter list since it ran over the free limit. I might pick it up again if I’m able to move to a new service, but for now, I thought why don’t I just do announcements on my blog, and let people know to sign up there to keep following along for great new authors.

Second: I’ve been working on finishing the “Thankful in Vegas” series with Marilyn Vix. The last installment will soon come out around Valentine’s Day. This will be great since the full story arc will be done through the 3 novellas, and they will be put together into one omnibus that will have a print edition. It is a little different than I’ve written before, romantic suspense with a hot, sizzling factor. It’s also been great writing with Marilyn and supporting each other. So, look for that soon.

Update: Setting My Future Writing Goals

I’ve done some soul searching and have had to do some thinking of how I want to move forward. Namely, since COVID and a recent move have put a strain on my money and resources, I’ve come to determine that I will not be putting out as much erotic romances as I have in the past. I’ve also had to stop my monthly promotions since they were costing me a lot of money. I loved being able to give samples out of my shorts, and hopefully, people would be interested in the following stories in a series. But my finances are a bit strapped now, and $50 of monthly fees charged by the mailing list service and Prolific Works was just too much of a strain. So, I’ve had to suspend the promotions.

For those just stopping by having read some of my backlist, I’m sure you’ll be happy to know which stories I plan on working on finishing. I am directing my attention to finishing two series, one that I am co-writing with Marilyn Vix. I am almost done with the third story in the “Thankful in Vegas” series with Marilyn, and that story will finish the romantic suspense novella trilogy. I also have started and am plotting out the last story for the “For the Women of Rome” series. Which basically means, I won’t be starting any new series under this pen name. I do have one other story series I started, very similar to sci-fi/fantasy books like Anne McCaffrey and Marion Zimmer Bradley’s series. It likely may come to fruition, but it isn’t a priority yet. The priority has truly been surviving COVID and financially getting stable.

For now, this is the best thing to move forward into this new decade that has started out so chaotic and with tragedy. COVID has affected so much of our lives, and it almost seems like another world a year ago. I do hope all is well with you, you’re safe and your family well too. I do know many of you appreciated the monthly promotions and even sent me messages letting me know how you appreciate my writing. I thank you for your support and encouragement. I will continue to write, but it is likely to be in other genres and with other pen names. That could be my biggest secret. This is just one of a few pen names that I write under. But I will keep the others a secret as well. I do love being mysterious, and secrecy is quite sexy. I guess that’s why I’m enjoying romantic suspenses so much right now.

For now, stay well, and best wishes for you in your future as we all navigate this new brave world.
